TERMS OF SERVICE

By accessing or using the Local Expats Bali platform — including our website, mobile app, and all related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Local Expats Bali is a membership community platform for expats living in Bali, Indonesia. The service provides:

• Access to curated in-person events and community gatherings
• Exclusive discounts at 100+ partner venues across restaurants, fitness, wellness, entertainment, retail, and services
• A virtual membership card for presenting at partner locations to claim discounts
• A referral programme with commissions for inviting new members
• Document verification for residency status (KITAS, visa)

Billing and Renewal

• Memberships are subscription-based with monthly, half-yearly, and yearly billing options
• Two tiers are available: Basic and Expat. The Expat tier requires residency document verification (KITAS or valid visa)
• Payments are recurring and processed securely via Stripe
• Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled

Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel at any time from your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• One account per person — sharing login credentials is not permitted
• You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Account deletion is permanent and removes all associated data

Members agree to:

• Use the platform and membership benefits honestly and without fraud
• Not share, transfer, or resell membership credentials or discount access
• Respect other community members at events and in community channels
• Follow the rules and policies of partner venues when redeeming discounts
• Not engage in any activity that could harm the platform, its users, or its partners

• Discounts and offers are provided by independent partner businesses
• Availability, terms, and value of discounts may change at any time at the partner's discretion
• Local Expats Bali acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for the quality of goods or services provided by partners
• Partners are responsible for honouring their listed offers. We will assist in resolving disputes but are not liable for partner actions

• Active members receive a virtual membership card (Stripe Issued Card) for real-world spending
• The card is subject to spending limits based on your membership tier
• Misuse of the card may result in suspension or termination of card privileges
• The card remains the property of Local Expats Bali and must not be used for illegal transactions

• Events are organised by Local Expats Bali and community ambassadors
• Participation in events is at your own risk
• Local Expats Bali is not liable for injuries, losses, property damage, or any incidents occurring during events
• Event cancellation terms are detailed in our Cancellation Policy

All content on the platform — including branding, logos, text, images, and software — is the property of Local Expats Bali or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Expats Bali shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and membership if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify members of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bali, Indonesia.
